Established in 2007, Hampton & Bayside Leadlight Company was founded by Leigh Schellekens to ensure the continuing preservation and innovation of Stained Glass and Leadlight in Australia.

Leigh is an artisan dedicated to high quality workmanship in the Stained Glass and Leadlight field. After completing the Stained Glass and Leadlighting Trade Apprenticeship in Melbourne, Leigh then trained internationally in Stained Glass Painting. With over 25 years of experience in Stained Glass and Leadlight, he has worked for many of the most reputable and respected Leadlight & Stained Glass studios in Melbourne. His own studio was established to continue the time honoured traditional practice of Stained Glass and Leadlight in Melbourne, and simultaneously create new works to establish an ongoing place for this art form.

With the aim to produce work worthy of the Stained Glass Artisans of the past, and to develop and build upon their techniques in order to expand the potential in Contemporary Architecture.
